BIO
Marianeli Anastasiadou
I am a self-taught collage artist, with a degree in History, Archaeology & History of Art, currently based in Kavala, Greece. I am highly curious and a person with various interests, so maybe this is the reason why I use collage as a medium to express myself artisticly. Collaging allows me to combine all these different stimuli that compose me as an individual, and at the same time as a part of a whole. I use collage as a language, to communicate symbols that anyone can recognise and interprete, by upcycling existing images that we find in magazines, books, catalogs, newspapers, old drawers, anywhere really! I love taking pictures as well, so sometimes I integrate my own photography in my works.
